Point Reyes Wedding Flashback – Liz and Nathaniel
As the days grow shorter, and booking begins in earnest for next years wedding season, I’m feeling nostalgic for these bright summer days filled with flowers and sunshine. Full set of images from Liz and Nathaniel’s beautiful Pt. Reyes wedding can be viewed here.
Planning a wedding or commitment ceremony? I’m currently accepting booking for 2012, contact me for my rate sheet or to request a wedding package consultation.
Pumpkins in Half Moon Bay
I unabashedly love Halloween. Not only is fall one of the best times of the year for the Bay Area (warm weather, wonderful golden light), I love the spooky evenings, the costumes, and I always take a trip to Arata’s Pumpkin Farm in Half Moon Bay to pick up some decorative gourds. Arata’s is a wonderfully weird place to visit. This year their theme seems to be ‘Egypt’ and no, I’ve got no idea what that has to do with Halloween. There’s a petting zoo, pony rides, and a terrific hay maze you should plan on getting lost in.
Fall is also a really great time to start thinking about updating your family portraits. It’s still nice enough outside to photograph outdoors, and you can use the images for a holiday card. Drop a line if you’ve been thinking about a family photo session, there’s still plenty time before the winter colds sets in.
This year one of my cousins was visiting San Francisco for the first time with a few of her friends, so I dragged them down the peninsula to enjoy the day with me.

New/Old Cameras!
I scored big time at the Alameda Flea market a few weeks back, picked up another Canon AE-1 and a mint condition Argus C3. Currently doing film tests with both cameras to see which one I will take along on our upcoming trip – we’re going to Prague!

It’s Kitten Season!
Around this time last year, we adopted Paloma from a rescue group, All Creatures Healing Network. And it was one of the best decisions we’ve made made. She’s grown into a lazy, fluffy beast who fills our lives with dander and a lot of cuddling.
If you’re considering a pet, please investigate your local shelter or rescue group! There are so many wonderful animals out there who need a home, and not only kittens – adopting an older cat or dog is a great option if you are a working professional who would rather not have your toes attacked in the wee hours of the morning.
These kitties are the current crop of adoptable babies from All Creatures, I photographed them for their adoption site as well as for our annual holiday card – I’ll post the image we chose as we get closer to the winter season. In the meantime, check out these cuties, and you can contact the agency directly if you’re interested in fostering or possibly adopting one of these rambunctious little cats.
More Kitten photos below the cut!

Berkeley Engagement Session – Whitney and Milos
A bit of rain didn’t take away from this engagement session in the Berkeley Rose Garden, although it did inspire us to venture indoors for a slice of a cake and a warm drink at the end.
