A very handsome couple, joyful friends, and an exceptional desert location. Nicole and Tim threw an intimate and stylish destination wedding at the famous Frank Lloyd Wright property, Taliesin West.
A Frank Lloyd Wright-style wedding cake!

The weather was so beautiful today, I took a few hours off of work to wander in the San Francisco Botanical Garden with my Fuji X-pro1. (All images shot with the 35mm lens, although I’m strongly tempted to pick up the 60mm as a holiday gift for myself!)
These squirrels are hilarious, they’re so used to being fed (although one is not supposed to feed them), they come right up to you, but then scamper off once they determine no treats are forthcoming.
Kelly and Greg booked me to photograph their beautiful San Francisco City Hall wedding last December, and this year I got to spend some time with them and their newest family member, Max. These two are always well dressed, and it looks like Max will be following in his parent’s footsteps, check out that adorable sailor outfit!
It doesn’t seem possible but we’re already deep into November and approaching the holidays, solstice, and New Years, so it’s a great time to order your holiday cards.
I started sending seasonal cards a few years ago, and it’s become a slightly insane tradition around here to come up with an idea and force our cats to pose. Poor kitties.
Last year I partnered up with Minted and have used them to order everything from holiday cards to commitment ceremony invitations. They have modern designs from independent designers, use high-quality paper stock, and their printing is top-knotch. This year they’ve introduced more options for seasonal cards, including different shapes, cardstocks, and sizes.
I also offer more traditional family portrait sessions of course!
Interested in booking a holiday portrait session with your pet, parent, or family? I’m offering a Thanksgiving weekend SALE on two-hour portrait sessions, in your home or a location in or around San Francisco for a big discount at $175, includes a privately-hosted web gallery for print ordering, web-ready files to share on Facebook, and a free 8×10 of your choice. The session must be redeemed before the end of 2013. Sale begins now and ends Monday the 26th of Nov!
I felt so blessed that my cousin Branden and his fiancee Jo trusted me to document their beautiful urban Seattle wedding. Working with your own family could easily be stressful, but I can honestly say that Jo is one of the most relaxed and centered people I’ve ever met – her hair dresser overslept, so we wandered up to a nearby salon for a last moment booking with a stylist who did a terrific job. Jo and Brandon also have a terrific community of co-workers and longtime friends in Seattle, it was wonderful to meet everyone and reconnect with a few people I hadn’t seen since childhood! Enough about that, though, on with the photos…
More below the cut!

You may notice a new look to this site, I finally was able to update around here with the help of the immensely talented Kristen Adam of RococonouveauDesign. Let me know what you think, hopefully it’s now easier to find my wedding portfolio, featured posts, and connect via Facebook, Twitter, and read my reviews on Yelp.
Now that this is complete, I have a ton of new images to share from this year’s weddings. Here’s a sneak peek at one, Kara and Scott’s lovely Pt. Reyes outdoor ceremony.
