This was one of the most beautiful weddings I've had the honor of photographing. A true community gathering, the couple brought together their close knit group of friends and family members to create a ceremony that honored their Mexican backgrounds while also including all aspects of their own personal identities. I started the day at each of their spaces, documenting their preparations. We then moved onto the first look and portraits at Piedmont Park, followed by a ceremony and reception at Humanist Hall in Oakland. Many of their decorations were home-made, and their wedding party did an incredible job setting the space up. After a taco bar dinner and toasts both hilarious and moving, the party tore up the dance floor for hours.
